The beginning.....the 50's........

We've been checking out out alot of things that our earlier Playmates have been in lately, 
so it's only fitting that we take a time out to be able to see them in their full glory when they 
actually posed for Playboy. Now all of those first gal's centerfolds, weren't actually made 
originally for Playboy. As a matter of fact....up until Arline Hunter's centerfold issue in August
of  '54, each  and every centerfold had been purchased by the boy's from the bunny house, 
from the Baumgarten Calendar Company, to be used for that month's Playmate. An 
interesting note, is that a few of these girls didn't even know that they had been a Playboy 
Playmate, until decades later!  But we sure know who they are now don't we? From Marilyn
 Monroe in that very 1st issue back in December of '53, all the way thru December of  59's 
Ellen Stratten....we know and love 'em all. Here they are ....every page of every issue that 
was  published by Playboy from December of 1953, to December of 1959.............the '50's
