2004...........the Golden Anniversary of Playboy, and another opportunity to have
a "Great Playmate Hunt".........and why not right? The GPH's in the past had been
so incredibly successful, and trust me on this fellas.........this one was VERY much
a success. After the smoke had begun to fade, and the fanfare had dimmed to a tiny
whisper, Miss January's little Colleen Shannon, had emerged as the bearer of the crown
of the 50th Anniversary Playmate, albeit not without a bit of controversy that those at
Playboy had preferred would never have gotten out, and in fact still deny it ever happened.
It seems that another Playmate was promised this award, to even pose to begin with. Similar
promises had occurred in the past, with 1980's PMOY, Terri Welles coming to mind, but
unlike Terri, whose promise to was kept, 2004's Miss February, Aliya Wolfe's......was not.
This didn't sit too well with the lovely Aliya, so she took her voluptuous self back to the
great state of Texas, along with missed opportunity to create a video profile of her before
she left. All promises aside.......the year 2004, was a standout year for Playmates, with
several of these girls having successful careers in film. 2004's........Playmates in Film
